OK, Great day to shit day.

Lets just put it this way, I had a day where my patience was tested, and I failed by rushing and being stupid, and burned the crap out of my hand. I grabbed a tray from the steam box when the steam shut off, and woosh, a gift of another shot of steam right on my hand. One of the guys here who used to be a fire fighter said it looks like a second degree burn. I lost some skin and gained a whole lotta blisters and ick. Now I have to fill out a 3I form or something corporate like that to make me feel like a total tool. I would tak a pic, but it really is nasty. By the way, the cuts from me being lost in the woods are pretty much gone, yea healing power. Tonight I made Meatloaf, mashed potatos and gravy, and a very yummy peach crumble cake. One of the drivers of the shuttles told me he hasnt been home in 6 months and it was great to have a meal that tasted home cooked. That did make me feel great as I bandaged my nasty ass burnt hand. Been Uber Busy, Had a good day.

After 2 days off, back to work. Made Jambalaya for the masses. Had the most compliments yet. Feels good to make people happy with my awesome talent (Just Kidding). Also made a cake with an orange juice and toasted coconut glaze, thought it would go good with the spicy Jambalaya.

Yesterday, about 14 of us went to Liberty Falls, alot of hiking, but absolutely beautiful. Here are some pics.

Klutina river meets Copper River

A long Hike to where the Klutina and Copper River Merge

I took a 3 mile hike each way(6 MILES)to where Copper and Klutina merge. Along the way we saw some people catching the copper reds, It Got me hungry. We went to restaurant at Copper Center Lodge. My buddy Steve and I split a Monster 1lb Buffalo burger with bacon, ham, portabella mushroom and 3 kinds of cheese.

This pic was done on accident. I had my UBER ZOOM which is hard to control. I didnt even know there were bald eagles in area until after pic was taken, its a pretty cool pic.

Great day, 2 days off and an awesome Hike

Work is so cool, and at the end of the day I am surrounded by beauty. Tuesday and Wednesday ar my days off, so after I got off work, I thought I would go on a hike with my buds Tom and Jim. We went to the second point, which is like 2 miles past the first point. So these 5 mile hikes are good for me.  Saw some great stuff, here are some pics.
