The Season is winding down, 18 Days Left. Awesome hike to second point.
After alot of Jack Daniels(we wont say how much) My Back issue has been soothed to a tolerable workable level. Muscle relaxents didnt work, but Jack Daniels did. It seems everyone at work is starting to get into the end of season mindset. It is quite sad, my bud Joanna is leaving this Wednesday. I am going to Anchorage to see her off. I work alI day from 9-530 and I dont want to waste any of my remaining days here. We took a hike to the second point tonight. I am gonna miss this. Here are some of the pics I took tonight.

Great day off to live the Copper River Princess Wilderness Lodge Experience.
Part of my employment included a coupon book where I received many perks, like a nights stay at the lodge, an entree at the restaurant, etc. Last Night I took full advantage. The day started off with a fishing trip with Tom and I down the point hill. I mostly did it not only to catch my red, but he view half way down the hill is my favorite spot in Alaska. The pics don't do it justice, it symbolizes all that I love about the things I have done and people I have met this summer. No fish were caught or seen. But I still love it down there. It was a bit chilly so we only lasted a couple hours.
We came back to check into the hotel. I got an awesome room with a mountain view and king bed. Then at 6:30 dinner time at the Two Rivers Restaurant. Tom, Amber and I enjoyed a tasty dinner. A bottle of Tilia Malbec, Game stuffed Mushrooms, and Alaskan Surf and Turf(Grilled Salmon with Buerre Blanc and a Bacon Wrapped Carribou Filet), finished with Blueberry Ice Cream. It was great.
Thought I had a great sleep in a nice bed. Slept from 1030 to 8 am. Woke up a with my back a little sore. By the time I got to work at 9, my back was killing me. Don't know what happened. 12 hours later now and its really bad. Oh well, I'm sure it will get better. Of all the dumb and crazy things I have done this summer, sleeping in a nice bed wont be what gets me.Tuesday, August 10, 2010
Day Off of Pure Relaxation
Been a Crazy week of work, and yesterday lived up to be a crazy finish. About 1:30, as I was cleaning up after lunch, the power went out. Quite fun when you are trying to prep for dinner. The weather was fine, just very windy. Took about 2 hours to get it back on, by that time, it was too late to cook dinner, so it was sandwich night. I felt bad, but some people were rracting like I killed thier first born. Oh well, I'll make it up for them on Thursday. After I got off, too a nice hike down to Copper Center to buy some beer. We found a wild rasberry bush on the way down. Verry yummy. I hate to admit this, but I'm starting to enjoy hiking.
Today was my day off, I did absolutly nothing but relax and enjoy the weather. &30 we had a viewing of "Book of Eli" in the movie room at the lodge. Very cool movie and nice viewing room. I had to take a pic to make this a readable blog(Id make it pop up if I could). I really like this pic of the back of the lodge and the one of the over look of Copper Center. Fishing tomorrow and staying at the hotel including dinner there. Should be fun. Not excited about work thursday, we had a health audit and the guy doing it didnt seem to have a clue about industry standards. Really, Ice and water in a salad bar, and individually wrapped burgers on the line? Where is this done? I will worry about that in 2 days.
