Sea Kayaking on Port Valdz

Keeping Alaska Beautiful

After a nice night sleep from the fatigue that came from kayaking, I was planning on a nice calm do nothing day. I was sitting in the common area and Sarah came in asking for volunteers to help clean up our strech of ADOPT A HIGHWAY. I said,"What the hell? I can always add good deed to all my notches in Alaska." I have to say our mile of highway is damn clean. Also, here are some old pics of te cool rainbow we had a while back.

Awesome day Kayakin in Valdez and there is a moon in Alaska in the summer.

I start this by saying a 300+ man shouldnt be floating in 40 lbs of plastic on a commercial port with giant ships next to you. I was terrified, but it was such a rewarding experience. I was starting to freak when signing my life away, the first line talks of hypothermia and drowning. Did I mention I hve taken a senic cruise on the same bay and have seen humpback whales. Thanks to Zach Fisher and Melissa, i was talked into it. It was so beautiful kayaking next to huge fishing vessels and seeing an otter, let alone the beautiful mountains surrounding me.

Got back to copper center and we can see the moon, woohoo.

Hoards of Salmon in Valdz

Pipeline fun and tomorrow is Kayak day!

Again I cannot say how great my life is. Tonight a bunch of us hiked over to the Alaskan Pipeline. Sure, we were not supposed to be there, but it was on my list of stuff to experience in AK. I have to admit, we did break a law or two, but u only live once. How do you top this? Glacier Sea Kayaking tomorrow! Hope i dont get knocked out by an orca. Here are pipeline pics, dont show the FBI.
